Interdisciplinary Programs

Xavier University offers a number of programs which are interdisciplinary in nature, with curriculums which cross academic departments and colleges.

Sustainability

Both political and religious leaders recognize the importance of promoting sustainability as part of policy, law, business practice, and daily life if we are to protect our planetary home and the welfare of future generations. Students in the Sustainability programs will be prepared to develop sustainable practices and policies in business, non-profits, and government agencies by integrating the study of business and economic principles with ecological and environmental processes. Land students will focus on the science and art of agriculture including food production and distribution within the context of a Jesuit education. All programs involve experiential educational experiences including field trips, practicums, internships, and capstone projects with organizations in the community.
