Return to: Majors, Minors, Certificates, Curriculums and Special Programs
Program begins Summer 2025.
The Master of Arts in Global Teaching of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) will offer graduate students from around the world a theoretical and practical approach to English learning. A 36-credit program, this asynchronous program is based on a two-year cohort model, which will run year-round, starting every other year. All courses will be condensed, eight weeks in length, and run consecutively. The primary goal of the M.A. in Global TESOL is to develop a complex understanding of the multifaceted nature of global education, the intersecting systems behind it, and the role of global education practitioners in K-12 and higher education internationalization. Students from multiple countries can build partnerships globally as they participate in a cohort model. Licensed Ohio teachers will earn the TESOL endorsement during the program.
