The Addiction Counseling Certificate program is designed to provide additional training to those desiring advanced knowledge and skills in addiction counseling. With record instances of drug related overdose deaths and shortages in licensed addiction professionals, this certificate will help meet the training needs of those desiring to serve as addiction counselors during this challenging time.

Admission Criteria
Candidates applying to the certificate program must have earned at least a Bachelor’s degree and submit official academic transcripts as well as a statement of interest.
Consideration
- Students with one year (2,000 hours) of chemical dependency related work experience may receive credit towards COUN 712, Addiction Counseling Practicum.
