Chemistry, B.S.

The Department of Chemistry offers a curriculum that covers the five major fields (analytical, biochemistry, inorganic, organic, and physical chemistry), the preparation and identification of compounds, and the literature on the subject.  The department offers two tracks for the Chemistry degree.  The first track is an ACS certified track that allows students to graduate as ACS certified majors.  The second track does not receive ACS certification but opens up opportunities for students to pursue careers in chemistry and is a great way to prepare for graduate school in all but a few chemistry disciplines.
