Requirements for the Performance Major
Major Requirements:
79 credit hours, as follows 43 hours in music courses:
16 hours of Private Lessons from:
8 hours of Large Ensemble from:
4 hours of Small Ensemble from:
2 hours of electives from:
6 hours (two semesters) of Internship:
Additional Requirements:
- Pass applied music examination at the end of each semester of private lessons.
- Perform in a student recital each semester.
- Recital attendance (minimum of 56 recitals, 7 each semester of MUSC 199).
