A placement test is administered to those students who took ASL, French, German, Italian, or Spanish in high school. Students of Japanese should schedule a meeting with the respective instructor to determine correct placement. The result determines the number of courses needed in order to fulfill the second language requirement. All French/Spanish majors must complete a one-credit senior research project (FREN 499/SPAN 499).
