ASLN 301 - Advanced ASL II 3 Credit Hours A continuation of ASLN 300, in addition to honing comprehension and fluency, this course exposes students to the social and cultural references of ASLN. Topics include colloquialisms, slang, puns, and linguistic expectations of American Sign Language in a variety of situations. Continued development of advanced receptive and expressive skills are developed, and exposure to the Deaf community is more extensive and interactive. This course will also expand upon fundamental concepts of voice to sign interpreting introduced in ASLN 301 and will also include the introduction of sign to voice interpreting.
