PHIL 337 - Responses to Liberalism

3 Credit Hours
An investigation of historical responses to liberalism by way of a close reading of texts in the history of political philosophy from the 18th century to the present. Special focus on the relation between nature and society, freedom and equality, the relation between custom, tradition, and societal change, and the relation between economy and state.

Prerequisites: PHIL100 and PHIL200
