MUSC 342 - Studio Production 3 Credit Hours In this course students assume the role of sound engineer in all areas pertaining to professional audio. It covers the theory of sound, acoustic fundamentals, microphone techniques, analog and digital signal flow, the use of computers in audio, recording (mono, stereo, and multi-track), studio policies, and working with a clientele. Focused on hands-on learning in the studio and in live sound environments, the course places students in real-world scenarios that will help them develop the necessary skills to produce high-quality recordings.
