BIOL 148 - Life:Intro Science of Food Lec 2 Credit Hours Introduction to Science of Food is a 100% online core scientific perspectives course which students will learn about the history of food science, food nutrition and chemistry in relation to a healthy diet, the role of microorganisms in food and food processing, food engineering, biotechnology and new food product development, and the issues regarding global food cultures and food sustainability. Students are required to participate in online discussions and learn how to communicate in the scientific form.
