THEO 624 - Theological Imagination 3 Credit Hours This course explores the fertile boundaries between human life and sacred mystery, with attention to questions of meaning, hope, and social transformation in history. Through deep engagement with classic spiritual writings across diverse cultures and religious traditions, and drawing freely from contemporary theology, literature, music, poetry, film, the Bible, current events, and our own spiritual journeys, we will explore the broad, beautiful, unsettling, and alluring relationship between theology and spirituality, faith and social justice, in our times. The Ignatian tradition of critical thought and creative imagination will frame our inquiry throughout.
