NURS 452 - Mental Health Nursing

3 Credit Hours
The course focuses on facilitating holistic health outcomes in individuals experiencing alterations in psychiatric mental health. Focus includes exploring evidence-based therapeutics, pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments, and treatment settings utilized to assist individuals in achieving optimum mental health outcomes safely. Nursing competencies, as they relate to transitions in mental health, are examined.

Prerequisites: NURS360 and NURS374 and NURS376

Co-requisites: NURS451
