NURS 340 - Obstetric Womens Health 2 Credit Hours This course focuses on facilitating holistic health outcomes for women and families experiencing transitions using Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) competencies. Family transitions, developmental and situational, are explored. Issues surrounding health-illness transitions in women and the child-bearing families are also discussed. Diversity related to ethnicity/culture is emphasized. The role of the holistic nurse as an educator, consultant, facilitator and partner with the patient and interprofessional team is emphasized. Accelerated course for ABSN students only.
