CJUS 316 - Crime In Film 3 Credit Hours The course will examine the portrayal of the criminal justice system in either fictinal and non-fictional films or documentaries. At the end of the course students will be able to: identify both the accurate and inaccurate ways in which the film media present the justice system and its agents; understand how the images and portrayal of criminal justice professions within film media may impact on the manner in which they are treated in society; and link the depiction of criminal behavior within the film media to empirical criminological perspectives.
