HESA 390 - Foundation of HC Law & Ethics 3 Credit Hours This interdisciplinary course will explore interconnections among ethics, law and health care by examining classic legal-medical ethics cases, legal rules and ethical principles, controversial issues such as access to health care, beginning of life issues, patients’ rights, end-of-life issues, disorders of consciousness, and organ transplantation. Special attention will be given to ethical conflicts, as well as the roles of ethics consultants and ethics committees.
Prerequisites: PHIL100
