PHIL 309 - Medieval Islamic Phil & Influe 3 Credit Hours The course treats the main figures in the “golden age” of Islamic philosophy, namely, Al-Farabi, Ibn Sina (Avicenna), Al-Ghazali, and Ibn Rush’d (Averroes). It also examines how their philosophies influenced and were developed by medieval Jewish and Christian thought.
Prerequisites: ( PHIL100 or CORE105) and ( PHIL290 or PHIL200)
