SOCW 318 - Trends in Modern Soc: Race Rel


3 Credit Hours
This course provides a solid knowledge base regarding the role of race in professional and personal lives. The goal is to deepen students\2019 perspective of what race/ethnicity means. Students will learn various theoretical frameworks used to promote diversity and as such race relations. The course will encourage self-reflection and examination of beliefs about the intrinsic value of all human beings. Students will explore barriers which historically have hindered greater positive growth for racial and ethnic minority groups.
