PSYC 101 - General Psychology 3 Credit Hours General Psychology provides students with a broad introduction and appreciation for the scientific study of psychology. Psychology is a large and diverse field, and this course provides an overview of the five fundamental precepts of psychology, that is, biological psychology (e.g., neuroscience, sensation), cognitive psychology (e.g., cognition, memory), development (e.g., learning, life span development), social and personality psychology (e.g., multicultural, emotion, gender), and mental and physical health (e.g., psychological disorders, psychological therapies).
