As of July 2025 this program has institutional approval and is pending final external authorization.
The eLearning Design and Development certificate is for individuals working in training and development and traditional instructional design roles that want to enhance their skills with creating digital web-based learning solutions. By the end of the program, students will have the ability to design, develop, and deliver engaging eLearning experiences to support corporate, government, and higher education environments.

Required Courses - 9 hours
- IDDT 500 - Foundations of Instructional Design
- IDDT 550 - eLearning Design and Development
- IDDT 600 - Instructional Design for Scenario-Based Training
Electives - 3 hours
Choose one: - IDDT 502 - Adult Learning Theories and Instructional Models
- IDDT 602 - Advanced eLearning and Interaction Design
Notes:
To continue and complete the program, students must - Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA through each semester enrolled in the certificate program
- Complete a portfolio artifact for each course
