Coaching Education Post-Baccalaureate Certificate

The certificate in Coaching Education is designed to prepare an individual for roles as coaching directors for community-based sport organizations, scholastic, and collegiate coaches, as well as at the professional level. The preferred model of coaching in the sport industry emphasizes evidence-based training. This certificate provides future coaches with the educational preparation expected and sometimes required for coaching positions.

Admission Requirements
- Completion of an undergraduate degree with a minimum GPA of 2.5.
- 2 Letters of Recommendation
- Writing sample addressing the following prompt:
- Please state how this certificate in coaching education will help in your career goals.
- Be specific to address what your career goals are.
- Be specific in showing a direct application of gained content knowledge through this program to your career goals.
Curriculum
18 credit hours Notes
- Completion of all required courses in the certificate and a minimum GPA of 2.800.
- Students completing the graduate certificate in Coaching Education who wish to complete the Master’s of Science in Sport Administration MUST successfully complete all required courses with a B or Better.
