Neurodiversity Certificate (Graduate)

This certificate program provides a comprehensive foundation of knowledge of neurodiversity and practical approaches to supporting neurodivergent individuals. It builds students’ knowledge and skills to be able to understand the needs of neurodivergent people and adapt crucial processes and systems for them to thrive. In addition, this program will enable candidates to create or adapt environmental structures and policies that support neurodiverse individuals through communication and collaboration in professional settings.
Participants will have the option to complete the certificate as credit or non-credit bearing.

Option 1: For University Credit
Candidates for the certificate must: - Complete the nine (9) credit hour requirements at Xavier.
- Earn a minimum of “C” or better in each course.
- Satisfy all financial obligations to the university.
Note: Students who complete the certificate for university credit may apply for the special education graduate program. Students must obtain a minimum of “B” in each certificate course for credit toward and acceptance into MED or MS special education degree program. Option 2: Non Credit Bearing
Candidates for successful completion of the certificate program for non-credit bearing must: - Earn the grade of “S” in all three courses in the sequence.
- Satisfy all financial obligations to the university.
