Return to: Majors, Minors, Certificates, Curriculums and Special Programs
The Biomedical Sciences major is designed for people preparing to enter health professions that require further education, like medicine, physician assisting, optometry, podiatry, dentistry, veterinary medicine, etc., although those students may choose other majors instead and ensure they take all the courses within the Biomedical Sciences minor, and whichever classes their particular professional program requires. Some students also go on to work in laboratories or in the biotech/pharma industry. All students interested in such careers should also consult with the pre-professional health adviser.
