Criminal Justice Administration Certificate

The Department of Criminal Justice offers a Certificate in Criminal Justice Administration at the Master’s level. The certificate is intended toward two groups of students: 1) professionals who have a graduate degree, but see courses in administration as a way to advance in the field, and 2) those with an undergraduate degree who, for whatever reason, are not ready to apply to the criminal justice graduation program.

Admission Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
- Personal Statement/Essay
- 3 years of experience in the field
Completion Requirements
- Complete the nine (9) credit hour requirements at Xavier
- Earn a minimum of “C” or better in each course
- Satisfy all financial obligations to the University
Note
Students who complete the certificate may apply for the criminal justice graduate program. Students must obtain a minimum of “B” in each certificate course for acceptance into the M.S. CJUS degree program. |
