The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Business Analytics and Information Systems, a STEM designated program, educates and develops future data analysts. Graduates will emerge with the necessary skills to immediately contribute to businesses in roles which require training in and an aptitude for data analysis. Through the utilization of real-world data sets and foundational skills in programming, data management, data visualization, data mining, and optimization, students will gain the skills, confidence and expertise required to succeed in today’ s data-driven business world. This program will produce high-quality students who are not only analytically sound but also ethically responsible in their use of data. Ultimately, the outcome of the program will be students who are able to help businesses make better decisions through data analysis and statistical modeling.

Requirements for the Business Analytics and Information Systems Major

Business Core Courses
A 2.00 grade point average must be attained in the business core. At least half of the 45 total credit hours must be taken at Xavier. Major Requirements:
21 credit hours, as follows B.S.B.A. in Business Analytics and Information Systems with a Business Analytics Concentration

Scheduling Notes:
- Minimum for undergraduate degree is 120 hours.
- All students who choose the B.S.B.A. in BAIS must declare a concentration. A student who majors in the B.S.B.A. in BAIS may not double major in the other concentration. They may, however, minor in one BAIS minor (BA, OSM, or IS) at most. A student may not minor in the same area as their concentration.
