EDXC 242 - Anti-Black Racism and E.V. 3 Credit Hours Through this seminar course, we will examine the existence and impact of anti-Black racism in the form of epistemic violence and its impact on three large systems (Education, Governance, and Media) in the US. This course provides a learning experience for students who are seeking to enhance their abilities to: 1) Recognize anti-black racism and its personal and collective impact on contemporary society, 2) Understand the meaning of epistemic violence and how systemic oppression impacts learning in and outside the classroom, and 3) Develop and enhance skills to promote social justice through intellectual activism.
Restrictions: Must be enrolled in one of the following Levels: Undergraduate
