HIST 110 - American Women Win the Vote 3 Credit Hours This course examines the woman suffrage movement from the demand for enfranchisement in the Seneca Falls Declaration of Sentiments in 1848 to the ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment in 1920. We will study primary and secondary sources focusing on arguments for and against women’s enfranchisement, suffragists’ political strategies, and the relationship of the women’s rights movement to other social and political movements.
