ENGL 305 - Professional Writing 3 Credit Hours This course teaches students the rhetorical principals and writing practices necessary for shaping their professional writing for multiple audiences, and a variety of professional situations. It begins with a short introduction to rhetorical theory, examining how the concepts of writer, audience, purpose, and language interact in public and professional rhetorical situations. This is an upper-level English course designed for junior and senior English and Writing majors or minors. It is also accessible for students in other disciplines who are dedicated writers committed to expanding their writing abilities.
Prerequisites: ENGL101 or ENGL115
