ENGL 358 - Black America Since 1865

3 Credit Hours
Examination of historical and literary texts by black Americans from 1865 through the mid-1960s. This course will include a research assignment. Students are strongly encouraged to complete ENGL 210 Methods Workshop and/or ENGL 205: Lit & the Moral Imagination or equivalent before enrolling. 

Prerequisites: ENGL101 or ENGL115
